Air-jet looms insert the weft with compressed air and can be configured for a broad range of yarns and fabrics. Water-jet looms use water for weft insertion and are mainly considered for hydrophobic filament fabrics such as polyester or nylon. Final selection should be based on yarn, width, density, required output and workshop utilities.
